About Bonded Thru Cancer

The story of a
movement.

Born from one woman’s promise—built by a growing community that believes no one should navigate cancer alone.

Watch — In Her Own Words

Over a decade ago, Natasha described this exact portal.
Today, we’re building it.

Almost prophetic—Natasha speaks about creating this very platform more than 11 years ago.

Our Story

A diagnosis that
changed everything.

From diagnosis to hope.

On February 14, 2014, Natasha Veerasawmy’s life changed forever. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer that had already spread to her lymph nodes.

At the very same time, her older sister Allana was fighting her own long battle with breast cancer. The sisters believed they would overcome it side by side. Tragically, Allana lost her battle—leaving Natasha to continue alone.

Cancer was already deeply woven into Natasha’s family. Her mother was the first to be diagnosed, followed by aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings—fifteen family members in all, only a handful surviving.

Natasha became one of those survivors. And with survival came something else: purpose.

Turning Pain Into Purpose

A question that started
a movement.

“How are you getting through this by yourself?”

While receiving chemotherapy, Natasha noticed something she couldn’t ignore. Patient after patient sat through treatment completely alone.

She began asking them that one simple question—and it became the beginning of Bonded Through Cancer.

Emotional support during diagnosis and treatment, she realized, can be just as important as medical care. No one should have to hear life-changing news, sit through chemotherapy, or navigate recovery without someone beside them.

From Survivor to Founder

A movement was born.

After treatment, Natasha began speaking publicly about her journey—sharing hope with cancer patients and families across her community.

Bonded Through Cancer grew from a personal promise into a grassroots charity built on compassion, education, awareness, and human connection.

For more than a decade, the organization has stood alongside people affected by cancer—creating safe spaces where patients and families feel seen, supported, and understood.

Reimagining Support

Looking Forward

A global community
of compassion.

Bonded Through Cancer exists because no one should face cancer alone.

Our mission is simple: to ensure every person navigating cancer has access to compassionate support, meaningful connection, and hope—whether they’re across the street or across the world.

We’re building more than a charity. We’re building a global community where technology and human compassion work together, so no one has to walk through cancer alone.

Be the reason someone
never feels alone.

Together, we can build a world where no one navigates cancer alone.
